The limited-combustible deco sheet does not easily spread fire and emits minimal toxic gases during combustion, which leads to passing the Korea Fire Industry Technology Institute (KFI)’s performance standards for limited-combustible materials.
1) Product Properties Table
| Classification | Product Introduction | Properties | Heat Resistance | Applicable Primer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Korean Domestic Interior Film | PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) | #Soft #Low Density(P800) #Good Breathability | #Expands and contracts with temperature changes (sensitive to seasonal temperature changes) #Can be heat-extended for installation | # Oil-based # Water-based |
| SAVE INTERIOR FILM | PP and PET (Polyolefin-based Resin) | #Rigid #High Density(P4000) #No Breathability #Strong Resilience (1.5x of PVC) | #No expansion or contraction with temperature changes (unaffected by seasonal changes) #Cannot be heat-extended for installation (possible within 5%) | # Oil-based # Water-based |
2) Installation Method
| 1. Flat Surfaces |
|---|
| ① Install using the same method as for PVC film. |
| ② Use a hot air dryer to ensure complete adhesion to the surface. |
| ③ Apply approximately 20% more pressure than when installing PVC film |
| 2. Right Angles and Curved Surfaces |
| ① Due to the material's inherent resilience, there may be instances of swelling or bulging at folded areas after installation. Use a hot air dryer to apply appropriate heat and firmly press at the angles. |
| 3. Primer Treatment |
| ①For MDF compressed surfaces, treat with primer as for PVC film. |
| ② Apply 1.5 times more primer to the MDF-processed cross sections than for PVC film. 4. Primer Drying |
| 4. Primer Drying |
| ① This product has significantly lower air permeability (breathability) due to its high-density resin compared to PVC products. Therefore, if work is carried out in a state where it is not completely dry, the adhesive strength may be compromised or delamination may occur due to residual toluene gas or remaining moisture (in the case of water-based primers). |
| ② In the case of cut or processed surfaces, the primer application tends to be more abundant. Therefore, as it is absorbed deeply, ensure thorough drying before application. |
